Container Home Book 189 – 2 x 40′ Type 1A Home Office / Study – Spain

Todays featured Container Construction Project was Self built using 2 x 40′ Type 1A Containers ( Main Area featured here ) by Tino De la Carrera and the Team at Autoconstruccionmadera in a Rural setting near Madrid Spain.

Although this Project will be used as a Home Office / Study this design could easily be used as Housing.

The land which the Project was built on has a reasonably heavy slope, the Containers are supported on Steel Piers with Concrete Footers.

Internally the Container where framed uisng traditional wooden framing then insulated with rigid polyurethane sheets and covered with Recycle Structural Concrete formwork.

Formwork boards serve to support the formwork or “mold” on which structural concrete is poured to form supports, slabs or walls on site. They are solid timber boards, worn out by use, the remains of concrete where removed and the boards sanded with a floor polisher prior to being installed on the walls and floor of the Container space.

This is the 189th Container Home we have featured in this format for our Readers.
