Today’s featured Shipping Container Home is a 640sfqt Container Cabin Self Built by Larry Wade in NE Oklahoma at a cost of $35,000 USD – that price includes all furniture and a water well, but does not include the land purchase.

The two Bedroom Cabin was designed by Larry as a Getaway Cabin for family and friends that also could be used as a Bugout Shelter in case of a disaster.

Using 2 x Type 1A 40’ Containers it includes 2 x Bedrooms, Living area, separate Kitchen and Dinning Area, Bathroom with Shower composting toilet and wash basin, a Laundry Room and a Food Storage Room

The cabin has both Grid Electrical Power Connection with Solar and Battery backup, Solar and Wood heat, and Solar Water Heater with Elect Backup. Water will be provided by a well source and using both electric power and a interior hand pump, the Kitchen features a Vintage Kerosene perfection Cook Stove and Oven, Oil lamps and Led Lighting.
