Following  the incredible popularity of our digital book series – The  Most Influential Shipping Container Homes Ever Built – we  have decided to release a number of expanded  titles  for 2013 showcasing in greater detail some of the  best in Container based Construction from around the World.

Shipping Container House Book 17 – Hybrid Masonry Construction & Insulated Containers 

shipping-container-homes-book-17-externalBuilt by Rafael and Ana Borges and designed by Jorge Siemsen this weeks featured Shipping Container House  is unusual in that it uses Masonry and Insulated Containers in its construction.

At just  130 SQM of living space  this hybrid construction home features  masonry walls in the the kitchen and service areas with re-purposed stones and brick  harvested on the farm from previously demolished construction.
