Following  the incredible popularity of our digital book series – The  Most Influential Shipping Container Homes Ever Built – we  have decided to release a number of expanded  titles  for 2015 showcasing in greater detail some of the  best in Container based Construction from around the World.

Book 47 – Two Level Small Container Home 45m²

Today’s featured Container Home is a small 2 Level House built using 2 x 20’ Type 1A Stacked High Cube Containers in Santa Catarina in the Southern Region of Brazil.

Built by Ferrarohabitat this 45m² home has a modest but comfortable living room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, single bedroom and balcony area.

The Laundry area has been built into the original doors of the lower Container, there is an opening in the Bathroom wall where you can pass dirty clothes directly into the basket in the Laundry.

Interestingly this Container uses both Ceramic Thermal Paint and Glass Fiber Insulation.

Solar panels generate 50% of Houses Energy Demand with the balance drawn from Grid Power.
