| By | Category: Free Tutorial, Profiled ISBU Project

Following  the incredible popularity of our digital book series – The  Most Influential Shipping Container Homes Ever Built – we  have decided to release a number of expanded  titles  for 2015 showcasing in greater detail some of the  best in Container based Construction from around the World.

Book 50 – Incredible Value Container Home – All this House for $135,000 !

This unique three level Container Home was built in Beulac-Garthby, Quebec by Pierre Morency and Julie Robert for just $135,000

The House has 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms and a Separate Living and Dining Area.

The Basement is constructed from Reinforced Concrete with the second and third tiers consisting of 3 x 40’ Containers making a total of 1500 sqft ( 140 SQM ) of built area.

This places the Construction costs at $90 sqft. Some people might argue that we $90 a sqft is not really that cheap but this Home is not about building the Cheapest Container Home possible – we break down how to build a Hyper Low Cost Container Home in the Members Area for those that are Hyper Cost Sensitive. This rather is a high style Home on a very reasonable budget.

We break down where the actual savings can be made using Container based Construction in the Members Area Supporting Design Resources Section.

You can access that here

This booklet – Number 50

The presentation sets are intended for design inspiration only.
