Book 45 – Shipping Container Swimming Pool Project – Self Built
Container Project : 40’ Type 1A Shipping Container Swimming Pool Conversion
Location: Texas United States
Cost: $22,000 USD
Builder: Self Built
Project Overview.
Self built by Taylor and Brooke Wagen this domestic Swimming Pool has been constructed from a modified Type 1A 40’ Shipping Container.
Most rectangular pools are about twice as long on one side as they are on the other, with an average depth of around 5.5 feet.
From a dimensional point of view a Shipping Container Pool is reminiscent of a purist
lap pool. A typical lap pool measures between 40 – 75 feet in length and 8 – 10 feet wide.
This Shipping Container Swimming Pool Conversion is 40’ x 8’ x 6’ deep.
A typical Swimming Pool has a Deep End and Shallow End – using a Modified Container means that the Swimming Pool will be of a single Depth.
This booklet – Number 45.
The presentation sets are intended for design inspiration only.
